School girls trek from Namibia for charity

The physical and mental durability of fifteen Diocesan School for Girls pupils was recently put to the test in the school's ‘Fish-2-Fish Challenge’. The girls’ efforts were all for a good cause though, and raised R100 000 for a local school in need. Nick Hedley reports.

 

DSG violinist fiddles nationally

DSG’s budding violinist, Hayley Jackson, has successfully been chosen to play for the National Youth Orchestras.

There were 73 violinists in total and Jackson is one of the 20 who were accepted for the A orchestra.
