Pathetic to see Makana Mayoral entourage being escorted by traffic police in town with sirens blaring and causing traffic chaos at 4.30 in the afternoon! Misfounded self importance and culture of entitlement. Will not get my vote in future.

Makana Traffic Licensing Department was opened on 3rd January after shutdown - only ONE customer kiosk open and Dept overflowing! Almost 2 hour wait. More pathetic service delivery!!

Nothing has been more in the news this past year than the hopeless state of our municipality and the city they're supposed to manage. I therefore nominate the municipality as newsmaker of the year and that includes the mayor, the Councillors, the officials and the workers ie the whole sorry lot. Why did we waste our time voting?

I see there is a notice in the grocotts re closing dates for libraries. Would it really have been so difficult to put a notice in informing us of the power outage for an entire day on Sunday 4 December? Or was it just pure laziness and inconsideration on the part of the municipality
