While 2009 and its accompanying recession made it a pretty awful year for most, here's a tale of at least one man who managed to remain 'recession proof' growing from strength to strength, filling shows, selling albums and making new friends everywhere he went. Rambling (Jay) Bones, of Fuzigish fame, established himself as a successful solo artist in 2009, with the release and touring of his critically acclaimed debut album 'Watching & Waiting'.
Headline slots at Oppikoppi (Easter), White Mountain Folk Festival, Moshito, The Zig Zag Surf Awards and Mahala Surf Festival as well as loads of club dates catapulted him quickly to the forefront of this acoustic / singer songwriter scene during 2009. When not touring he was writing songs for tv, bands and even companies who had begun to comprehend his composing prowess.
2010 has already seen him featured by FHM Magazine, SABC2 Weekend Live, Vuzu TV, MK and 5FM among others. He's been invited and will be performing at SxSw 2010 (Texas,USA) and at Canadian Music Week in March, and also to play in Germany, France, Australia and many more exciting places....
Join Rambling Bones, popular South African singer / songwriter and frontman for the legendary ska band Fuzigish, for an evening of acoustic awesomeness on his Eastern Cape Tour, featuring the songs from his critically acclaimed 2009 debut album 'Watching & Waiting', some Fuzigish favourites and more ... Suitable for ages 15 - 75
I am gatvol with taxis in town who think they can drive just the way they want to and not care about other drivers in town. The taxis drive in the wrong lane at the robots just to get out in front fast so that they don\'t have to wait anther 3min to drop off their passengers. They drive next to each other in one lane not caring for cars who want to park or reverse out of parkings or even simply just to turn a corner. Where are the traffics for the taxis? They just want to watch motorists. What about the state that most of the taxis are in? Can't the taxi industry hire responsible drivers? Wait and see what accidents are on the way if they don't get stopped soon.
