A commemorative colloquium for prominent poet Don Maclennan will be held at Rhodes University this weekend on Friday 5 and Saturday 7 March to which you are cordially invited.

Under the direction of Dan Wylie, a number of Maclennan's friends and colleagues, including fellow poets, will present a fascinating programme of lectures, talks and discussions about his considerable effect on South African literature.

His fi nal collection of poetry, Dress Rehearsal, will also be launched. There will also be brief readings of his poetry interspersed with the longer items and a musical tribute.
 

This promises to be a uniquely exciting occasion, so diarise the dates – this is an occasion defi nitely not to be missed.
