After driving inland from Kenton-on-Sea on the R72 for about 25km you’ll come across a large sign proclaiming: “Welcome to the home of the Clover Cows”. Following closely is another sign that reads: “Welcome to Chicory Country”, and a few paces further you’re told by yet another board that you're in “John Deere Country”. This is the gateway to the town of Alexandria and after going there it’s no wonder why everyone wants a stake in it. This little town holds an entrance to the “Golden Mile”, which is technically a strip of coastal dairy farms, but poetically, it’s a strip of paradise.
