People of Khoisan descent must unite. The ANC and DA are using you to further the interests of their people. These parties don't care for you. They only want your votes. Punish them in 2014.

The discussions in our meeting came with very positive results. In accordance with the principles of Public Journalism these results were not imposed by the journalist but the community formulated them after having viewed and discussed the multimedia outputs.
Many solutions were proposed in the meeting, but due to space constraints not all of them will be listed here.
Most of the community members demonstrated interests in participating in the newly formed Community Policing Forum (CPF) in the area. A view was expressed to this effect by a community member who said it is proper to start by getting to know your neighbours. This form of engagement was blessed by the presence of Sgt. Mc Kenzie who announced that there is a CPF meeting on Tuesday night and almost everyone showed interest in the meeting.
What emerged in the discussions was that it is mostly poor black men who do crime in the area and it was expressed that it might be because of male frustration. In the long run, job creation was the key proposal, but in the short term the creation, donation to and maintenance of a soup kitchen was proposed.
It was established that some community members already donate to the soup kitchen and it was resolved that people should only donate this way as people don’t buy the correct things when they have been given money. It was also expressed that giving people food at your doorstep will lead to them coming back again and now with more people. Lastly there was a view that members of the community should help at least one person each.
