Our Vision is
A viable high quality independent newspaper that serves the community of Grahamstown as well as the educational and training interests of the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at Rhodes University
 
Our Mission is
To simultaneously serve the community and to develop new ways in which journalism is taught at university level in South Africa.
